Try involving kids in the decorations, there are many shops, which sell readymade items for the decoration, you can help them do their own decorating either by buying the decorations from the shops or make your own. Making your own things is much more fun and the children can proudly inform everyone that they have done it themselves.

Can also try to involve kids in making their own trimmings and other decorative items. You can help them in choosing the items from the shop or making their own which will be fun for them as well as they will proud and can tell everyone that they have decorated the house by themselves.

One of the benefits in making their own Christmas decorations is the emotion of fulfillment that they will feel with the finished product. No matter whether the child is a six year old or a sixteen-year, they have the sense of achievement of doing something even if it is a small thing like an angel or a picture of Santa Claus.  In addition, if it is their own creation they will look forward to invite their friend’s home and enjoy themselves.
Making of their own decorations or paintings can be fun for the child and very proud moment when other family members and friends appreciate them.

The craft paper or the glue is easily available at your local stationery shop and you should let your children go and decide for themselves what they would like to make of it. This is the time when they can display their talent and in turn your will be saving a lot of money and enjoy working with them.

You will also be spending your time with the children, which normally you must be not getting due to your jobs or other commitments. Therefore, these are the season of enjoyment and do so together. Besides, you and your children will likely enjoy the time that is being spent together.

Once you are ready with the decorations, it is time to display them, ask your child where he/she wants to hang and help them ensure that the hard work put into the decorations does not go to waste.  When the time is right, you and your child could spend the rest of the day or evening decorating your home for Christmas.

780325_golden_present1.jpgOnce in a year there is Christmas, The season of give and take. During Christmas, we would love to shower gifts on our near and dear ones. The main worry of most of the people is how much to spend on gifts; Most of the shops have bargains and discounts during this period. So keep an eye on such shops pick up the things you like.

As most stores have sales throughout the year, but all the retailers give good discounts during the December month. These shopkeepers know there are many people doing last minute shopping. The best way to shop is to first decide what to buy and for whom. Then find out the price of the same and wait for the same thing to come on sale. Usually during the sale, the price of product may not be refundable, or later the shopkeeper might refuse to take back the stuff because he specially has it for the Christmas and after that, there will be no demand for this.

The discount is not a good idea always, as you tend to go overboard and pick up things, which will not be of any use and are not refundable or returnable. It is like buying a woolen coat in summer.

So before you start shopping find out about the products which are on sale and what policy they follow. Because if you give somebody a gift which they do not like they will not be able to return it. So keep you eyes open sometimes you might get a very good bargain.

Happy Christmas

On Christmas Eve, many people take part in the procession moving towards the capital city of the country. These people moving about in dark pray, chant, and while religious service present a colourful sight on Christmas morning.

As Africa is not a very developed country, the celebrations are for short duration compared to other developed countries. Christmas being during hot season, people enjoy their meals in a lawn under the shades of tree and not on a formal setting of table and chairs.

Practical items like cloth, pencils, sweets, books etc. are used as exchange gifts for Christmas. People being comparatively poor cannot afford to give costly gifts but still they want to surprise their family and friends so they use these thoughtful things, which will be used by them. Africans traditionally have a very strong pervasive aspect of humbleness and humility, this aspect shows in their celebration of Christmas too.
