895899_music_singers.jpgChristmas music plays a important role during the season and all the radio stations and music channels play only the Christmas songs and the other music takes a back seat. That is the reason for so many different types of music for the season They are sacred, secular, traditional and popular which are made throughout the year.

Popular and secular music for Christmas has been developed by artists and performers who usually ‘make over’ classic styles of Christmas music with the personal touch. Because the regular music is not heard during the season the artist makes the music popular by remixing them. The artist feels that if they do not remix the popular music then they will be out of the earshot of their fan and will loose on popularity.

The artist almost always releases a new album for Christmas or holiday. Since people get bored of the same type of music there are sacred or secular types of music. The music always creates the right mood and the Christmas season is the time for a good mood these music tend to get people in the spirit of the things and enjoy themselves.

Every person has his/her favorite Christmas songs which they have been listening to since their childhood Among all this the most popular one is ‘White Christmas’. The song is so popular that people in warm climates also sing that song. Other popular Christmas songs and carols are: Away in a Manger, which tells the Nativity story in song; O Holy Night, Silent Night, Joy to the World, Hark the Herald Angels and Angels we have heard on High.

All of these songs are sacred and about the story of Jesus’ birth. Some of songs cannot be categorized in any one category . The song Sleigh Ride is one of the popular secular Christmas songs. Then there are funny ones which are Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

The songs are played on the radio throughout the season and therefore people like to hear it and there is a vast selection of them with which they can play the songs for Christmas dinner, or Christmas party at home or in the restaurants. During the season the professional groups also sing the Christmas songs and cut their album.

The music also makes a good Christmas presents to be given to family and friends the new album by any of the popular artist can be gifted. Whatever the music selection is for the enjoyment and bringing about the festive mood and spirit of the season.

881273_christmas_items.jpgThe Christmas is loaded with tradition which cannot and has not been verified. Even the date that is December 25, is questionable whether the Jesus was born on that day. Cynics also want to know why the shepherd would go out in the night during the winter watching his flock. The non believer have also been said to say that Jesus must have been born in spring instead of winter. Therefore, we have so many fancy stories about the Christmas and Christmas season.

The children gets the most stories and the most common fancy ones about Santa Claus, also know as St. Nicholas. Even if we accept that Santa Claus existed, so how does he reach the houses of good boys and girls on Christmas evening?

In the United State it is believed that Santa Claus has two houses one in Torrington, Connecticut which can be termed as distribution point of gifts and his elves stay there to send the gifts to children. The second home is to be located in Wilmington, New York this is where Santa Claus and his reindeer are staying. In the Cyberspace Santa is available at any time, but what about the story that says Santa comes from North Pole?

The people in Finland claim that Santa Claus is the resident of their country. This is where you can see Santa’s workshop and observe Santa and his elves working hard for their Christmas gifts.
The only day Santa’s workshop is closed to visitors is Christmas Eve. It will be interesting to visit Santa Claus on the previous day of Christmas Eve to see how Santa plans to make his trip with his reindeers the next day. As the saying goes the reindeers and Santa do not fly to their destinations around the globe.

In Finland you are allowed to visit the workshop but there is nothing said about talking to the man himself. The chances of meeting the Santa himself are very remote. The person who is a non believer would want to ask some few questions like Rudolph is the son of Donner or whether Santa saw him in a different reindeer village one Christmas eve when he was on a mission to deliver toys to children.

If people would get a chance to talk to Santa they would ask how the idea of Christmas tree and the gifts placed under came to being. The tradition today which is followed is known to come from German immigrants but there is nothing to say how it was first formulated in Germany.

One such story goes that the people would get wood inside the house and started decorating in the house with the candles and other such stuff.

Martin Luther King, a Protestant reformer, who is known to first place lighted candles as decoration to the tree. Which was a inspiration to him from the twinkling lights in the sky during the night while he walked home.

Martin then placed a tree in his home and attached wires with small candles around the branches of the tree. And this is how the Christmas tree gained its popularity.
