Alms Boxes are the boxes where people put donations or gifts into the box. The other one goes like the masters used to give the servants gift on the next day of Christmas.

10) Evergreen trees are believed to ward off all the evils, withces and illness so the people in the earlier times used to hang the branches of the trees on their door and windows. In winter they were reminders of the Sun god which will bring the green in the trees after the winter.

11) The ancient people worshipped the sun god and thought that the God has fallen ill and therefore there is so much cold during the winter months. The worship was supposed to get the sun god in good health again and regain the strength.

12) The business was conducted on the Christmas day by Legislators and the first one was conducted in 1789. This was due to the congress was not popular for taking part in American Revolution. The Christmas celebration was barred by the Boston and it became very expensive to celebrate the event.
